Hinduism is a native to the Indian subcontinent. Hinduism is often referred to as Santana Dharma (सनातन धर्म), Sanskrit phrase meaning "the eternal law" or "eternal way".The term Hinduism is used as an umbrella designation for all traditions that aligned to the Vedas. Hinduism is a family of religions, a vast and heterogeneous religious tradition without a common leader, a common center or a common body of teachings. Early forms of Vedic religion are seen, not as an alternative to Hinduism but as its earliest form, and there is little justification for the divisions found in much western scholarly writing between Vedism, Brahmanism, and Hinduism. The Historical vedic religion of iron age india is at its roots.Hinduism has often been called the oldest religious tradition among the world's Major religious group, and as the "oldest living major tradition" Taken together, the many Hindu Denomination make Hinduism the world third largest religion, after christianity and Islam, with approximately a billion adherents, of whom about 905 million live in India and Nepal. Other countries with large hindu populations include Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritious, Fiji, Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad andTobago, United Kingdom, Canada and the USA.Hinduism's vast body of scriptures is divided into sruthi ("revealed") and Sruriti ("remembered"). These scriptures discuss theology, philosophy, and Mythology, and provide information on the practice of Dharma (religious living). Among these texts, the Vedas and the Upanishads are the foremost in authority, importance, and antiquity. Other major scriptures include the Puranas, and the epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana. The Bhagavad Gita, a treatise from the Mahabharata, spoken by Krishna, is sometimes called a summary of the spiritual teachings of the Vedas.

Hindu Temple........

A Hindu temple or Mandir (Sanskrit: मंदिर), is a house of worship for Hindus, followers of Hinduism. They are usually specifically reserved for religious and spiritual activities.A Hindu temple can be a separate structure or a part of a building. A feature of most temples is the presence of murtis of the Hindu deity to whom the temple is dedicated. They are usually dedicated to one primary deity, called the presiding deity, and other subordinate deities associated with the main deity. However, some temples are dedicated to several deities, and some have symbols instead of a murti..............
